what are Drug Cartels ?

 Mexican Drug cartels (Also know in Mexico as, La Mafia, Narcotraficantes or Narcos) is a criminal organization with the purpose of controlling drug trafficking operations. the Mexican Government primary focus is on dismantling the powerful drug cartels,instead of drug trafficking prevention. these cartels have exist for several decades, they are now more  powerful then ever. they control 90 % of cocaine that enters into the U.S. drug violence has also increased due to cartels fighting over the control of the trafficking routes being lead into the United States . As Mexican drug cartels keep on gaining more control in Mexico, they are still able to seep across the border and get control of drug market in the untied states. this shows how the was on drugs is failing because cartel are easily able to transport their products across America with no difficulty.
